Bruno Tarimo Eager For World Title Shot, as He Enter IBF’s Top Six

The man known as “The Teriminator” – Bruno Tarimo (26-2) has set his target on a world championship.

Tarimo is a survivor. He has openly said he comes from nothing in the deepest and darkest of the Tanzanian jungles. He campaigns from 118 lbs (bantamweight) to 130 lbs (super featherweight) and will do anything for his life long mission to become the world champion.

Tarimo made the sacrifices necessary to become champion by basing himself in Australia since 2018 – leaving behind his wife and children in order to support them. Due to COVID and the strict policies by the Australian government, he has not seen his family in nearly two years.

“It’s very hard, I’m thinking of my family every day but I know I’m getting better every day and I do everything for them – and boxing is what will give my family a better life. My boss Tony Tolj has helped me so much, and my Australian family Benji and Nadine help me so much,” Tarimo said.

“I’m very lucky too, I have very good coaches with Tony Nobbs and Benji Dimiotroski and my training team Andrew and Jason Moloney help me improve every day.”

Tarimo is highly religious and reads the bible before and after his fights.

Tarimo’s prayers appear to be answered as the IBF have rewarded “The Terminator” with a top 6 world super featherweight ranking and with the title being vacant and former champion Joseph Diaz moving up in weight, fate has bestowed Tarimo with the opportunity to take part in a world title eliminator sooner than later.

Tarimo opened up about his new IBF rating.

“I’m very happy for this one, I know my manager Tony Tolj never sleeps, always working for not just me but my family and now I’m world number six. I’m so happy. I know I’m not going to stop until I’m world champion. This is why they call me the Teriminator! Whoever wins this vacant title, I will not stop until I finish you and I will change my family’s lives,” Tarimo said.
